The will of man is his happiness

Is the next Ferguson myth beginning…’This is how you save a team that was a mess’?

Eric ten Hagg’s first season as Manchester United manager is off to a pretty good start.

The Red Devils defeated Chelsea 4-1 in the 32nd round of the 2022-23 English Premier League (EPL) at Old Trafford in Manchester, England, 먹튀검증 at 4 a.m. ET on Saturday. With the win, United leapfrogged into third place with 22 wins, six draws, and nine losses (72 points), opening a six-point gap over fifth-place Liverpool and securing a spot in next season’s UCL.

United put Chelsea under intense pressure from the start. The motivation was high, especially in Van Gaal’s first season at the helm, and it showed against Chelsea on the final day of the season.

United took the lead early on. Casemiro opened the scoring in the sixth minute, before Anthony Martial added a second in first-half stoppage time to seal the win.

In the second half, Van Gaal made a number of changes. He brought on the likes of Tyrrell Malacia, Alejandro Garnacho, and Fred to try and keep the momentum going. Bruno Fernandez then scored the third goal of the game in the 28th minute to effectively end the game. Marcus Rashford’s goal made it 4-0, and despite pulling one back in the dying minutes through Joao Felix, United finished the game 4-1.

The win secured United’s place in the UCL. After finishing sixth last season and missing out on the UCL this season, the Red Devils are back in the competition less than a year after the change of manager.

Ten Haag’s first season in charge also saw United win a trophy. They won the English Football League Cup (EFL Cup), defeating Newcastle United in the final, and were recognized for their leadership. The team is now set to face Manchester City in the final of the English Football Association Cup (FA Cup).

Ten Haag’s first season has been met with praise. Melissa Reddy of British media outlet Sky Sports called it a “pretty good start” to his first season. “He inherited a team that was in shambles, and he had to deal with a number of challenges in his first season, including problems with Cristiano Ronaldo and Mason Greenwood, as well as the club’s takeover. But he brought home a trophy in his first season, reached the UCL and is now in the FA Cup final. That’s a pretty good start.” Ten Hagg’s first season is enough to give United fans something to look forward to as he looks to rebuild the club’s post-Alex Ferguson reputation.
