Lotte Giants’ Yoo Kang-nam came to Jamsil Bee. We asked him to share his thoughts ahead of the game.
Yoo Kang-nam will start as the No. 5 catcher against the LG Twins in the 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul on March 30.
It will be Yoo’s first time in a Lotte uniform, so fans are excited to see him in action.
Yoo was the starting catcher for LG before becoming a free agent last winter and signing a four-year, $8 billion contract with Lotte. From April 11토토사이트 to 13, he met his hometown team as an opponent for the first time since the start of the regular season. Back then, the stage was Busan Sajik Stadium.
This time, it was at Jamsil. It was the same stadium where he played for 10 seasons in an LG uniform.
Before the game, Yoo visited LG players in training. He chatted with Casey Kelly, Oh Ji-hwan, Adam Plutko, and others. He also said hello to head coach Yeom Kyung-yup.
“I thought it was going to be the same, but when I woke up this morning, I felt a little bit of excitement. There’s something that I can’t explain in words,” he said nervously. However, he also expressed his determination, saying, “It’s the same game, the same three-game series.”
When asked if the LG fans would welcome him back, he said, “Would they? I’m not that good of a player…” and then revealed his greeting plan for the home team, saying, “I will definitely greet the LG fans.”
